Truk Lagoon Micronesia Trip 2017

Monday, November 27, 2017

Blue Lagoon Resort, Weno, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia

13 Nights & 12 Days of Wreck Diving! nNov 27-Dec 9th 2017nnJoin Liquid Productions, in association with Lust4Rust Diving Excursions, in one of the most exciting wreck diving destinations on the Planet! Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon is located in the Federated States of Micronesia in the South Pacific. During WWII it was Japans most formidable strongholds and their main base in the South Pacific theater. It served as anchorage for Japans Imperial fleet. In February 1944 American forces attacked Truk u201cOperation Hailstoneu201d which lasted for 3 days sinking 12 warships, 32 merchant ships and 275 aircraft. Truk is now considered the biggest underwater shipwreck graveyard in the world. Not only are the wrecks intact with cargo holds of sake battles, 1940u2019s trucks, machinery, and even Japanese zero planes inside. The outside of the wrecks are an explosion of color and stunning soft corals and marine life. This is a must for any wreck enthusiast or underwater photographer.nnWe will be staying at Blue Lagoon Resort and doing all of our diving with them. Each boat will only hold 6 divers. This ensures that there arenu2019t that many divers on each wreck at one time. This also gives us flexibility as to dive sites during the trip. This also means if you are a hard core CCR diver or a recreational OC single tank diver we can cater to everyoneu2019s experience and runtimes. All divers are welcome, a minimum of advanced certification and nitrox is needed. nnTruk is remote and with doing so much decompression diving there will be a Hyperbaric Physician on the trip for any diving or medical emergencies. There is a chamber and we strongly recommend you carry dive insurance / DAN.nnWe will typically do 2 dives a day. The first leaving around 8:30am to dive a deeper wreck then head back out again around 2pm. Remember we will be diving for 12 days! If you spend the effort to get there itu2019s nice to really see Truk and get a lot of diving in.nnIn conjunction with this trip Becky will be offering a phototography workshop as part of the package focusing on capturing stunning shipwreck images. If you're not a photographer no problem, how about a personal photoshoot on a wreck to capture the memory of diving this bucket list destinaton and go home with some photos of yourself to show family and friends. nnFor more info and pricing please visit http://megdiver.com/truk-lagoon-2017/ nn-Becky Schott nBeckyu0040LiquidProductions.com

Megalodon CCR Course February 2017

Monday, February 13, 2017

High Springs, FL

Rebreathers are excellent tools for spending more time in the underwater environments we love. This course is unit specific for the Megalodon Rebreather. Rebreathers use the latest technology to maximize your gas supply and mix the best mix for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). Basically they are a perfect nitrox or trimix mixing machine for every depth a diver is at. They are quiet and bubble-less on the bottom allowing for excellent marine life encounters. If youu2019re already into technical diving a rebreather will extend your limits even further and save you money and time in gas fills plus they are lighter than double tanks. As a photographer a rebreather has allowed me to do dives that I never would have dreamed of and spend as much time as iu2019d like too enjoying diving in a whole new way. nnDuring the dives you will be taught all of the necessary skills to conduct safe CCR dives to a maximum depth of 30 m/100 feet with no decompression. nnPrerequisites for the course are:nn-Certified in Advanced Nitroxn-Experienced diver (100+ dives)n-Be proficient in all basic diving skills / tech diving skills preferred n-Proof of dive certifications and log book required n nnCourse Description nn-Academic time : 8-12 hoursn-Confined water & Open Water Training : The time in the confined water will be 120+ minutes and 420 minutes of open water dive time required for certification. nnQualifications of graduates: The objective is to be able to comfortably operate the rebreather and dive safely to 100 feet/30msw using air diluent with an operating PO2 of 1.3 ata.nSafety and building your confidence on CCR is our first priority, Diving is fun and weu2019ll make sure we have some of that during class too! nnCost $2000 nnCost does not include your expenses such as O2, Sorb, Site entry fees, or lodging. Instructor expenses will be split between all students at the end of the class. nn Note: This class does not just cover the minimum information you need to know and minimum standards.

In my opinion it's one of the best wild marine life encounters i've ever had! If you're a photographer this trip will blow you away. You'll go home with great images or video. nnEach room has a kitchonette, fridge, and grill. There is also a hot tub and cute pub next door. It's surrounded by mountians, bald eagles, and if you're lucky you could see an orca. This is a gem of a place and I can't wait to go back in April! nn$1750 USD pp double occupancy (single is available) Flight not included. nn2 trip dates: nApril 8-14th 2016 - 1 spot available nApril 15-21st 2016 - 4 spots available nnEmail me if you're interested in details Beckyu0040LiquidProductions.com
